Prabhas sweet birthday message for his Kalki 2898 AD co-star Deepika Padukone

Prabhas penned a sweet birthday message for his cute Kalki 2898 AD co-star Deepika Padukone on his Instagran story. One of India’s most talented actress, Deepika Padukone is celebrating her 39th birthday today on January 5, 2025. Over the years, the actor has won us over time and again with the different characters she portrayed onscreen.

Rebel Star Prabhas turned to social media to write a nice birthday message for his Kalki 2898 AD co-star. He wished her happiness and success on her special day. Darling took to his Instagram story and stated, “Happy birthday to the ever-talented Deepika Padukone!” I wish you joy, success, and endless happiness.

Deepika Padukone and Prabhas was last starred together in Nag Ashwin’s Telugu-language epic mythological science-fiction flick Kalki 2898 AD. The Baahubali actor plays Bhairava, selfish bounty hunter, and Deepika plays Sumathi, a pivotal figure in the plot.

The science-fiction flick is made with a budget of Rs 600 crore production budget, it is the most expensive Indian film ever made. The film grossed estimated Rs 1,042–1,200 crore globally and has set multiple box office records for an Indian and Telugu film.

Kalki 2898 AD became one of the top-grossing films in 2024. At the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, producers Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt provided intriguing developments on the sequel. Prabhas starrer was recently released in Japan and is breaking records at the box office once again.

In a recent conversation with a media film producer Swapna revealed that pre-production for Part 2 is currently ongoing, with 30-35% of the second segment already filmed. She went on: “Pre-production for Part 2 is in progress, and we have already shot 30-35% of Part 2.” She also confirmed that Deepika Padukone will reprise her role as the Mother in the sequel. She will continue to play an important role in the plot.

Kalki 2898n AD is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video in Telugu along with the Tamil , Malayalam and Kannada dubbed versions, while the Hindi dubbed version is streaming on Netflix. Kalki Part Two is expected to hit silver screen in 2027.
