Kantara Chapter 1 OTT Release: After a magnificent theatrical run, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 is set for its long-awaited OTT premiere on Prime Video. Whether this film can resonate with the audience even better with the story behind the mystical backdrop in the 2022 blockbuster Kantara begins streaming on Prime Video on 31 October 2025. From the comfort of their homes, fans from all over the globe will get to experience this visually surreal and spiritually stimulating epic saga.
As per the official announcement from Prime Video, Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 will be streaming on October 31 for the global premiere. The film will be available to audiences in India and 200-plus countries and territories worldwide.
Kantara’s OTT release will be in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam so as to reach audiences across South India. Hindi, however, will not be part of the first push, so Hindi viewers will have to wait a little longer for streaming.
Hombale Films-produced and Rishab Shetty-directed, written, and shared with the lead role, Kantara: A Legend Chapter 1 acting as a prequel to the 2022 cult classic. It is set in the period of the Kadamba dynasty and follows the origin of the Panjurli Daiva legend, a divine guardian spirit that watches over the sacred forests of Kantara. It tells the eternal tale of man greed and power battling divine justice, providing us with a fascinating blend of myth, emotion, and cultural insight.
