Rashmika National Crush: Rashmika Mandanna, who is also known as the National Crush of India, has impact with her charming screen presence in her recent movies. From her initial movies like Geetha Govindam to recent hit movies like Pushpa, Animal, and Chaava, she has built herself with the characters like cute, girl-next-door emotions. Right now,the  audience and critics are expecting something new and stronger performances from her. Now people are thinking, is she stuck in her comfort zone?


With her recent movies, she has gained massive popularity and a fan base in India. But still she hasn’t delivered any female-oriented movies or didn’t delivered any strong female character movies till now. People are now expecting to see her in layered characters, which can also be challenging to perform as an actor. Most of time her roles are behind cute performances, romance-driven characters. Even though these roles and characters have createda  good benchmark for her career but still a segment of the audience is now expecting her to do challenging roles and also some strong female characters. Being a National Crush does feel good, audiences are expecting her to do some challenging roles which can also impact society and upcoming actors too.

In an industry where actresses like Nayanthara, Sai Pallavi, and Keerthy Suresh are embracing powerful scripts and carrying films on their shoulders, Rashmika still seems to be playing it safe. Her upcoming movie, The Girlfriend which is also a romantic drama film, which is a routine kind of character that she has been seen earlier, but fans are expecting to see if she can break that ‘cute girl’ tag and experiment with her films.

It is undeniable that Rashmika is cute and charming, but these tags won’t sustain or help her stardom forever. Audience wants to see her in roles which are intense, commanding, and stronger than ever. Till then audience has one question: Can Rashmika do a stronger and intense character, and is she overhyped asthe  National Crush?
