Ameesha Patel Got ‘Letters Written In Blood’ After This Movie. Ameesha Patel remembered in a recent interview how her first movie, Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai, made her incredibly popular. Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, starring Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel, was their first motion picture. However, its tremendous popularity changed the actors’ lives overnight. The actress took a journey down memory lane and talked about how fans went crazy for her and Hrithik as the movie gets a re-release on January 10, 2025. The fixation became so intense that some people married using their photos, and others wrote letters using their blood.

Given that two of her films, including Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai, have become cult favorites, Ameesha Patel recently thanked the audience in a new interview with News 24. She revealed that the movie came out in 2000, before social media or reels were a thing. However, fans were enamored with the movie and started dressing up as their favorite characters.

They were thrilled to be so famous, but there were some surprises in store. Patel disclosed, “Both Hrithik and I received marriage proposals from fans. They would marry our pictures in temples. I got letters written in blood, professing their love. It was very scary. I had stalkers… people following us.”

Although it wasn’t very common for actors to have bodyguards back then, she had to employ an entourage when they first started their careers in the movie business because certain fans went too far. Since she was unable to visit restaurants or salons as freely as she had in the past, the Gadar actress took some time to adjust to her fame.

The actress acknowledged that she was thankful for the accomplishment, but that she occasionally felt overtaken by the attention. She revealed that throughout the latter 25 years of her career in the film industry, she experienced changes in her life and occasionally wished for a more tranquil existence. However, everything was eclipsed by the love that she and Hrithik Roshan experienced.
