CID Investigation into iBomma Case: The Telangana CID has officially entered the ongoing piracy investigation linked to the iBomma platform, escalating the probe after several new developments, including a surprising connection found yesterday between the iBomma website and the SBI Term Life Insurance portal.

iBomma Link Found on SBI Insurance Portal: 

On Tuesday, Cyber Crime Police detected an unexpected iBomma link appearing on the SBI Term Life Insurance portal, triggering serious concerns. The link’s presence on a major banking platform led Cyber Crime officials to call the SBI technical team for detailed checks and clarifications.

Police are now examining how the link was added and whether it was a technical glitch, backend compromise, or deliberate insertion. The SBI team has shared the necessary technical details, and efforts are underway to remove the link from the portal. It is reported that the iBomma movie streaming links are redirected to a separate portal named SBI Life Insurance.

CID Collects Details on iBomma Ravi:

Amid these developments, the Telangana CID has now intensified the probe into iBomma Ravi, who is accused of promoting online gaming and betting sites through the iBomma platform. Since the department is investigating multiple betting-promotion cases, Ravi’s involvement has become a crucial part of the wider investigation.

CID Requests Data From Cyber Crime Police:

To strengthen the case and verify online activity patterns, the CID has requested detailed data from the Cyber Crime Police regarding Ravi. This includes online transactions, digital footprints, promotional links, and suspected connections with gaming or betting websites.
