Dharmendra Passed Away: The demise of veteran Bollywood actor, the He-Man of Indian cinema, aged 89 years, would cast a pall of gloom on the entire film industry and millions of fans worldwide. Some reports even suggested that he had been bedridden for the last few months due to age-related complications and was under special medical observation during these times.


One of the best performers in Indian film, Dharmendra had a mysterious enactment presence, a lovely grin, and the ability to play in a variety of roles. Throughout his entertaining career, Dharmendra appeared in over 300 films, leaving a remarkable cinematic legacy for this world. His soft romantic, macho action roles were as complete and carefree as any other genre.

With hits like Sholay, Phool Aur Patthar, Satyakam, Seeta Aur Geeta, Yaadon Ki Baraat, and Chupke Chupke, he had already established himself as a household name by the 1960s. His performance as Veeru in Sholay is among the most famous in Indian movie history.
