Devara 2 Unlikely to Happen? Reports going around in Tollywood circles are again buzzing regarding Devara 2. Made by blockbuster actor Jr NTR and Koratala Siva as the sequel to Devara. While the anticipation was created with the first part promising a larger story arc, reports now suggest that it may be shelved.
It is very well rumored in the industry that Jr NTR is not interested in moving forward with Devara 2. Neither the actor nor the producers have come out to give the news officially; however, the talk in film circles has been quite persistent now. Insiders claim that creative differences or issues regarding the script might be a reason for the actor’s disinterest.
Devara, as initially conceived, was planned as a two-part franchise, to be followed by Part 2, which would digest the entire world along with larger narrative layers. But ever since the release of the first installment, talks about carrying it forward seem to have lost steam. As per sources, the team may not go ahead unless Jr NTR shows his full weight behind the project.
Industry insiders also cite the busy schedule of Jr NTR as a cause. He is involved in shooting for more than one big film, such as this spectacular project with Prashanth Neel, and thus has an already full schedule. Therefore, it is difficult for the team to come up with plans for Devara 2.

The rumors have made fans also divided. While some hold out hopes that the sequel might eventually move ahead, others feel the makers should instead concentrate on giving a strong script if they decide to continue.
