Premante Idera Re-release: The producers of Venkatesh’s 1998 movie Premante Idera are preparing a special re-release for the movie on December 13 in honor of his 65th birthday. A unique re-release trailer for the movie will be released today, November 26, according to the producers.
Premante Idera, which was produced by Burugupalli Siva Rama Krishna and K. Ashok Kumar under the Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Art Films banner, was Preity Zinta’s first Telugu film. She had previously worked in a few Telugu films before preferring to focus on Bollywood. Ramana Gogula, who recently teamed up with Venkatesh for the hit song “Godari Gattu” from Sankranthiki Vasthunam, also released her debut album.
The Romance film, which was directed by Jayanth C Paranjee, presented the story of Murali and Sailu, who meet by chance at a friend’s marriage and end up falling in love. But Murali learns that Sailu will shortly wed a police officer. The main focus of the complete story is Murali’s efforts to persuade Sailu’s parents to approve of their union. Ranganath, Satyanarayan, Srihari, Brahmanandam, Ali, Chandra Mohan, Giri Babu, Prasad Babu, and Narra Venkateshwara Rao were among the supporting cast members.

Premante Idera was a huge box office success, earning a distributor’s share of ₹8.5 crore during its whole theatrical run, but receiving mixed reviews from reviewers. A year later, the movie, which also won a Nandi Award for Jayanan Vincent’s cinematography, was remade in Kannada as O Premave, starring Ravichandran and Rambha.
