The wedding rituals took place at Brahmanand Mahavidyalaya’s sports ground. Rath town hosted this significant community event. All ceremonies proceeded peacefully until snack time.
The problem began when organizers started distributing chips. Wedding guests immediately rushed toward the food packets. People pushed and shoved each other violently. They grabbed entire cartons of chip packets. Some guests snatched packets from others’ hands. The crowd became increasingly aggressive and uncontrolled.
Evidence from social media shows the chaotic situation. Viral videos of the situation went viral on several social media platforms. People were seen breaking open the cardboard boxes. Some were also shown grabbing anything they could. The videos portrayed complete disorder among participants. Each person was fighting for a share of snacks (food).
Eyewitnesses stated that there was a significant breakdown in security. Officials failed to properly control the large crowds. Police were also not in attendance during food distribution. Organisers of the event did not have any control over the event. The lack of security created an atmosphere of lawlessness. Proper event planning would have prevented this situation from occurring.
The incident follows a previous case of food-related violence. Recently, a video from the Bulandshahr district went viral, showing a man named Danish spitting on the rotis (bread). The man contaminated food at a wedding celebration. The video caused immense outrage and outrage.
Police took swift action in this case and quickly identified and arrested the suspect. Tejveer Singh, a senior police officer, confirmed the arrest of Danish. He will face the legal ramifications of his actions. The case highlights the necessity of having adequate preparation and quality assurance in place for large events.
