Why More Men Over 25 Have Never Had Sex: New Studies Reveals Why

Why More Men Over 25 Have Never Had Sex: New Studies Reveals Why

Men Sex: It was common to believe that almost all adults would have their first sexual experience before they turned 25. However, the new global surveys after 2023–2025 reveal that more men above the age of 25 are experiencing sex for the very first time compared to other counterparts. This observation is not seen in the U.S. only, but Japan, South Korea, the UK, and several European countries too.

Numbers on the Rise; Changing Times

Recently, new surveys suggest that 1 out of 6 men aged between 25 and 34 have not had any sexual contact in the last year. Percentage-wise, about 10-15% of men between 25 and 30 years old have had no sexual intercourse at all. All these startling statistics show a marked increase compared with two decades ago. Experts say that they are still not admissible as a measure for how men are “ever less alluring” but because society is changing.

Social Anxiety Increasing

The young man today faces a world that sometimes appears to be rife with social anxiety, shyness, and, sometimes, the fear of rejection. Some were bullied while young, and many are neurodivergent. It makes things harder to form a relationship when there always has to be that start to the conversation.Hidden and socially anxious, shy, and fearful of rejection in the case of most young men today.

Fewer Real-life Interactions

Chances of real-world-meeting opportunities have decreased hugely. The whole hangout thing in groups has slowly decreased. School and work shifted online. Dating apps have replaced natural social interaction with these.

On the apps, only a small percentage of men get regular matches, leading many to stop trying.

Financial Stress Delays Dating

For example, many men feel unready for relationships due to high rent, the rising cost of living, and student loans. In several countries, nearly half of men aged 18–34 still live with parents, adding to feelings of insecurity.

Digital Comfort Is Better than Real Connection

It is so apparent that the phone, games, and social media are the easiest escape and instant comfort. However, excessive digital usage reduced social confidence over time.

Friendship Decline Adds to the Problem

In particular, reports suggest that many men do not have close friends. Emotional isolation and romantic Isolation often go hand in hand.

Late Bloomers Are Definitely in Order

Researchers agree: starting later is becoming common and completely normal today as many men find bonds in their late 20s or 30s once life stabilizes.

Modern life surely seems to be tough, but it’s not over yet. With little strides adding to confidence and real-world interaction, relationships that matter could still happen at any age.
