The International Film Festival of India : Prabhas Kalki 2898 AD and 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu to be screened at IFFI 2024

The International Film Festival of India : Prabhas epic science fiction film Kalki 2898 AD and Nivetha Thomas’s  family entertainer 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu to be screened at upcoming IFFI 2024.


 The Indian Panorama segment will showcase 25 feature films and 20 non-feature films, selected from 384 entries. Among the feature films only two Telugu films ,which includes the recent blockbuster Kalki 2898 AD, helmed by Nag Ashwin, and sensational hit film 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu, helmed by Nanda Kishore Emani starring Nivetha Thomas, Priyadarshi Pulikonda and Vishwadev Rachakonda got the honor to represent Telugu Film Industry at India’s prestigious film festival- IFFI 2024.

IFFI is organized by the National Film Development Corporation in collaboration with the Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting along with the Government of Goa and promises to promote Indian cinema and culture. It is reported that Randeep Hooda directorial debut film Swatantrya Veer Savarkar set to open the film festival under feature film category , whcih will be followed by Article 370, Bramayugam, Level Cross, 12th Fail, and Manjummel Boys.  while Ladakhi language film Ghar Jaisa Kuch will open under non-feature film category.

The International Film Festival of India goal is to provide a platform for aspiring filmmakers, and industry professionals to have access to excellent cinema from across the world. IFFI’s International Cinema section is an assortment of culturally and aesthetically remarkable films from around the world. Kalki 2898 AD and 35-Chinna Katha Kaadu are the only Telugu films ,which got the honor to represent Tollywood.

The International Film Festival of India 55th official poster was unveiled at 2024 Cannes Film Festival and will celebrate its 55th edition from November 20 to 28, 2024, in Panaji, Goa.
