Bhumi Pednekar’s Bold Claim: Can She Work With Rakul Preet? Bhumi Pednekar has shared her opinion on working with Rakul Preet Singh in their upcoming film Mere Husband Ki Biwi. In a recent interview, Bollywood actress Bhumi Pednekar shared her views about working with Rakul Preet in their film ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’. She said that two actresses cannot work in the same film is a completely wrong narrative. Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh will share the screen. Arjun Kapoor is also part of the film where he plays the lead role. Bhumi has finally commented on two actresses working together in Bollywood films.
In a recent interview She said, “Usually, female actors do not get a chance to do comedy films. I love watching comedy films. In ‘Mere Husband Ki Biwi’, both the female actors have taken the comedy forward, as you used to see in the number one series films in the 90s, in which the actresses used to do comedy. So, we have done something similar.”
In the same interview, Bhumi candidly opened up about doing a film with Rakul Preet Singh. Bhumi said, “She is like my sister. She is married to my best friend Jackie Bhagnani and now she has become one of my closest friends. It is said that two actresses are insecure together, however, this is not true and it must have been started by some men who are not insecure themselves. There is nothing wrong between us, rather we had a lot of fun while shooting the film.”
In the film, Arjun Kapoor tries to fix his ex-wife Bhumi and tells her the truth. Bhumi also now wants to get Arjun back, after which her war with Rakul starts. Now the whole story revolves around the three people. This comedy film will be released in theatres on 21 February 2025.
This is not the first time that Bhumi did a film along with another Bollywood actress in a film. Bhumi has previously worked with Ananya Pandey in Pati, Patni Aur Woh. She has also shared the screen with Taapsee Pannu in Saand Ki Aankh.
