The makers have finally announced the film on their Instagram handle today. Amazon Prime Video released the teaser of Mirzapur: The Film on 28th October 2024. The caption read, “Diwali pe sab ko mithai milti hai, lekin yeh lo, Mirzapur ki asli barfi” (On Diwali everyone gets to eat sweets, Here you go, Mirzapur’s Burfi).

The teaser video features Pankaj Tripathi and Ali Fazal confidently stating that the film will be bigger and better than the series. The 1 minute 30 seconds video also hints at the return of Munna Tripathi who was killed in the second season. Divyenndu Aka Munna Tripathi said, I’m a Hindi film hero, To enjoy Hindi films you must visit the theatres. Also revealed that he is immortal which hints at his comeback in the most anticipated film.

The film is backed by Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment. The original series creators Puneet Krishna and Director Gurmeet Singh are back to direct the film.
