In a recent interview, Rajiv thakur recalls what happened on the kapil Sharma Show after Shah Rukh Khan pulled a prank on him and Chandan Prabhakar.

During the promotion of his film ‘ Happy New Year’, along with Farah khan and Abhishek Bacchan, Shah Rukh Khan pulled a prank on Kapil’s friends Rajiv Thakur and Chandan Prabhakar. The prank done by SRK was so convincing, he slammed both of tgem for mimicing him on National TV, The prank succeeded so well that both rajiv and chandan were left teary eyed.

Rajiv recalled his personal feelings which he had when SRK went mad at him, as he met his idol in person for the first time and SRK’s anger made him speechless.

In an interview with Siddarth Kannan, Rajiv expressed his thoughts that, how people often says to not meet your idol as they won’t remain your idol, the moment you meet them.”When he pulled the prank on us, I did give him the benefit of doubt. How could such big star do this to us?” Rajiv also recalled and explained the whole incidents which took place that day on kapil Sharma Show, with SRK.

He remembered how, in the show, he tried to express his love for SRK’s eyebrows and told how he wanted to sculpt his own face in SRK’s image.
Rajiv suspects, Kapil was throughout the time trying to add on a space for Shah Rukh Khan to start the prank that day. For the cause, he even said “Rajiv is a great fan of your’s, he does great mimicry”. But their plan miserably failed when Rajiv excelled in his mimicry and the audience cheered for him, thereby, not giving SRK a chance to start the prank.

Later, when Kapil saw the plan wasn’t working out for them he forced Chandan to do mimicry, which gave SRK a chance to yell at Rajiv and Chandan. SRK’s yelling was only enough to set the mood under tension but the situation escalated and Rajiv got teary-eyed when SRK threw a photo of him and Rajiv on the floor.However, the prank ended when SRK went and hugged them from behind.

Rajiv Shared that after the episode, SRK taught him how to mimic his character and also, later, sent someone from his team to my vanity van to give us, the framed photo that he threw on the floor with a note on it.

Rajiv added on “He won my heart”..and also shared how, years after the episode he once went to the actor’s home along with Kapil Sharma.
