Talking about this film, Aamir Khan said, ”I already knew Talaash would fail at the box office. But I still did it’. Further explaining the situation, Aamir said, “I liked the story very much, and I wanted to do it anyways. Because there is a limited portrayal of every emotion. There is revenge, there is pain, but the story went with very minimal emotional portrayal. Obviously, it needed more, but I did it because I loved the story even after I knew that this won’t work out’.
Fans reaction:
Post this, netizens have also come up with another possibility. 2012 is the time when the student of the year was also released. During that time, college rom-coms and love triangles were trending. So, this crime thriller didn’t do well because the audience wanted meaningless love stories. But Aamir Khan’s choice to do a film because he liked the script and not because he would get numbers is appreciated. Aamir Khan doesn’t do films for money alone but also for the meaning, depth, and story.
