‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is one of the most awaited movies from Aamir Khan’s upcoming films. It is the sequel to his iconic and all-time favorite movie of audience Taare Zameen Par. Amole Gupte’s Taare Zameen Par narrates the tale of Ishaan, portrayed by Darsheel, an eight-year-old with artistic talent who struggles academically. He receives assistance from his teacher, Nikumbh (Aamir), in managing his dyslexia. The movie performed a great job of bringing attention to the learning disorder when it was first aired. Taare Zameen Par was well-reviewed by critics and did well at the box office.  The film won Three National Film Awards.

Aamir Khan Updates on His Upcoming film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’

Talking about the sequel ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ Aamir Khan said, “Well, it’s a beautiful story. Actually, the easiest way I can describe it is that Taare Zameen Par is a very emotional film which makes you cry. Sitaare Zameen Par makes you laugh, it’s a humorous film. The theme is similar, of people with different abilities, different intelligence, or with different challenges. But, it’s humor as opposed to emotions.”

Additionally, the actor asserted that the sequel will go beyond Taare Zameen Par’s approach to the topic. “In many ways, I feel it’s way ahead of Taare Zameen Par, because in Taare Zameen Par, the person who was with the challenge in the film, Ishaan, was helped by my character. In Sitaare Zameen Par, it’s the ten people with challenges, they help me, the supposedly normal person. So I feel it goes much further. I hope it turns out well.”

The sequel Taare Zameen Par titled Sitaare Zameen Par was announced in October 2023. the movie will have Aamir, Darsheel, and Genelia Deshmukh in the lead roles. RS Prasanna directs the sequel, which is based on the 2018 Spanish film Champions.
