Director B.I. Hemant Kumar in Sexual Harassment Case:
The complaint alleges that Hemant had contacted the actress in 2022 and offered her the lead in the movie 3. Rs 60,000 was paid in advance of the Rs 2 lakh that was promised as compensation in the signed agreement. The accuser later claimed that Hemant harassed her by requiring her to act in pornographic sequences and wear skimpy attire, delaying the production. She claimed that when she refused to comply, he threatened her and mistreated her during the filming. Hemant allegedly persisted in harassing and intimidating her even after she finished her portions following mediation through the Film Chamber.

According to the complaint, Hemant reportedly videotaped her while intoxicated, drugged her drink during a promotional event in Mumbai in 2023, and then used the footage to blackmail her. He allegedly threatened to kill her and her mother and dispatched goons to follow her when she protested.
He is also charged with disclosing her personal information, publicly disparaging her, and uploading edited and unedited video clips of the movie on social media without the Censor Board’s consent. After that, the actress went to the Bengaluru City Civil Court, which issued an order prohibiting Hemant from posting any more recordings. He allegedly disregarded the order, though, and kept posting offensive material.
