Akshay Kumar In Stree 3: Will Akshay’s Cameo Become a Lead Role? Earlier this week, Maddock Films announced their upcoming line-up, revealing that “Stree 3” is set for a theatrical release on August 13, 2027. Akshay Kumar will be returning to the world of “Stree,” alongside Rajkummar Rao and Shraddha Kapoor. Kumar’s involvement in the third installment has generated excitement, with producer Dinesh Vijan referring to him as the ‘Thanos’ of the Maddock horror-comedy universe. Fans can look forward to more thrilling and comedic moments in “Stree 3.”
In a recent interview, Akshay Kumar was asked if he will be a part of horror comedy film Stree 3. akshay Kumar quickly replied by saying “What can I say? Dinesh and Jyoti Deshpande (producer) will have to decide that. They’re the ones to pump in the money.” Akshay kumar also added that Amar Kaushik is the director for stree franchise directing the hints of being part of the horror universe. Though the Sky force actor haven’t confirmed anything, he hinted about possible colloboration in upcoming horror comedy.
In Maddock’s horror film universe update, Shraddha Kapoor unveiled all the films and the release dates of the films up to 2028. What caught viewers’ attention is the post also revealed Stree 3 release date. Yes, you read it right. Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkumar Rao will be back with Stree 3 on 13th August 2027. As the second instalment in the film series Stree 2 was released on 15th August 2024, the makers are taking nearly 3 years for its release. The poster unveiled by Shraddha Kapoor also revealed the exciting lineup of films from Maddock Films. The year 2025 starts with Thama set to release on Diwali 2025 followed by Shakti Shalini on 31st December. For 2026 the makers are planning to release two films. Bhediya 2 is set for 14th August 2026 followed by Chamunda on 4th December 2026. And 2027 comes with Stree 3 on 13th August 2027 and another sequel Maha Munjya on 24th December 2027. Finally by 2028 Pehla Mahayudh part 1 set for 11th August and Doosara Mahayudh part 2 for 18th October 2024.
