According to Square Yards and property registration records on the Inspector General of Registration’s (IGR) website, Akshay Kumar sold his apartment in Borivali East, Mumbai, for ₹4.35 crore. Official records show that the purchase was recorded in March 2025.
The apartment where Akshay Kumar lived was situated in Sky City, a 25-acre complex built by Oberoi Realty. Square Yards claims that it is a ready-to-move-in residential property that offers duplex, 3BHK, and 3BHK+Studio units. According to the IGR property registration paperwork that Square Yards examined, Akshay Kumar’s flat has two parking spaces and a carpet area of 1,073 square feet (99.71 square meters).
The transaction came with a Rs. 30,000 registration fee and a Rs. 26.1 lakh stamp duty payment. According to Square Yard’s analysis, Akshay Kumar paid Rs. 2.37 crore for the Oberoi Realty property in November 2017, and it sold for Rs. 4.35 crore, representing an 84% increase in value. The available IGR data validated the resale value. According to the Square Yards report, Akshay Kumar sold another property in the same building in January 2025 for Rs. 4.25 crore. The unit had previously been bought in 2017.
Additionally, according to IGR property registration data, Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan purchased several properties in Oberoi Sky City in May 2024. Sanjay Gandhi National Park, Kanheri Caves, Water Kingdom, and Essel World are all located in Borivali East, Mumbai.
