In a recent interview, Varun Dhawan expressed his views about his action-packed thriller Baby John. Varun said, “In my childhood, I loved this film called Hum by Mukul Anand, which has Amitabh Bachchan, where he plays almost a double role, a dual identity kind of character. Baby John has similar themes. It also has another theme of protection of women in this country and how it’s done. And there’s a solution also for it, which is good parenting versus bad parenting. It’s almost like an Indian Thali [platter], which has every different cultural cuisine.”
In the same interview, Varun spoke about his previous work, Citadel Honey Bunny. He was starred with Samantha Ruth Prabhu and directed by Raj and DK. The Baby John actor said, “When I did Citadel: Honey Bunny with [directors] Raj and DK, it felt like a piece of cake actually because that was very differently engineered. No shooting day felt easy ever. There was no light shooting day. Everything felt heavy. Everything felt big,” The actor explained the difference in terms of acting for Baby John and Citadel Honey Bunny.
As Varun Dhawan is currently busy with his film Baby John Premieres in theatres, The actor will next be seen alongside Janhvi Kapoor for the film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. This Romantic comedy was directed by Shashank Khaitan. The Baby John actor will also be seen in his father’s comedy film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai in his kitty. After doing back to ack action thrillers, Varun Dhawan will entertain us with rom-coms in his upcoming projects.
