Chhaava Leaked Online: Vicky Kaushal’s film Chhaava is in the headlines only after its release. The film is performing brilliantly at the box office. The story of the film and the performance of the actors were well appreciated by the audience. However, after this, many controversies also started regarding many scenes of the film. Meanwhile, news of the film being leaked on online sites is now coming, after which the producers are worried.
The film Chhava was released in theatres on 14 February 2025, but now it is being illegally broadcast through 1,818 internet links. Due to this, a case of copyright infringement has come to light. Rajat Rahul Haksar, CEO of August Entertainment Pvt Ltd, complained to the police about this illegal activity. He said that the theatrical business has been affected by the pirated version of the film.

Based on the complaint, a case has been registered at the South Cyber Police Station. A case has been registered under sections 316(2) and 308(3) of the Indian Justice Code, sections 51, 63, and 65A of the Copyright Act, sections 6AA of the Cinematograph Act, 1952 (Amendment 2023), and sections 43 and 66 of the Information Technology Act. Police say that the illegal link is being investigated, and soon strict action will be taken against those involved behind it.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film has so far earned Rs 584.09 crore and may soon cross the 600 crore mark. Talking about the box office collection, ‘Chhava’ did a business of Rs 225.28 crore in the first week, Rs 186.18 crore in the second week, Rs 84.94 crore in the third week, and Rs 43.98 crore in the fourth week. In India, this film has collected a net of Rs 583.03 crore.
Vicky Kaushal played the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the film, which was well-liked by the audience. Rashmika Mandana was in the lead role with him, and impressed people with her acting. At the same time, Akshay Khanna made his strong presence felt by playing the character of Aurangzeb.
