Dharmendra Hospitalised in Mumbai: Bollywood’s 89-year-old veteran, Dharmendra, has been admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, setting off raucous concern among his fans just before he turns 90 in December. Rumor mills began with reports that the actor had been hospitalized almost five days, raising concerns regarding the state of his health. Meanwhile, family sources have claimed that there is nothing to worry about.
As far as an insider informant claimed speaking with India Today, Dharmendra is “absolutely fine” and just went in for some tests. “Someone may have seen him and assumed he was unwell. He is in good spirits and just completing his regular health check-ups.”
Age-appropriate, the tests are routine in Dharmendra’s medical life. Another Very Deep source confirmed he is pretty much being monitored, he is stable and is cheerful, while his family is keeping a close watch on his reports.
Earlier, in January, the actor had eye graft surgery, following which a video of him walking out of the hospital with a bandaged eye went viral. He had reassured his fans back then saying, “Abhi bhi Dharmendra mein bahut dum hai” — addressing all as he expressed how strong and energetic he was.
The forever-loved star, turning 90 on December 8, is getting ready for his next big movie called “Ikkis,” from the hands of Sriram Raghavan at Maddock Films. The film also stars Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Dharmendra himself in a main part as a grandfather telling tales of valor.
