Sridevi third daughter:Sridevi is one of the most celebrated actresses in Indian cinema who had a remarkable journey filled with success, challenges and emotional moments. Among the many touching episodes in her life was the beautiful bond she shared with Pakistani actress Sajal Aly. She played her daughter in the 2017 film Mom. This relationship grew so close that Sridevi lovingly referred to Sajal as her “third daughter.”
The film Mom was Sridevi’s 300th movie and tragically her last project before her sudden death in 2018. Sajal Aly during the shoot played the role of Sridevi’s daughter. Over time their professional relationship turned deeply personal. Sridevi once said in an interview, “Sajal is like my third daughter. I feel like I have another girl in my life.” This statement made it clear that Sajal held a special place in her heart right beside Sridevi’s real daughters Janhvi and Khushi Kapoor.
Sajal also shared an emotional memory after Sridevi’s passing. She said that the last message she received from Sridevi was during the Masala Awards in Dubai, where Sridevi texted her, “I miss you, beta.” Although they continued to talk after that, Sajal once missed a phone call from Sridevi due to a shoot. She regrets it deeply, calling it a moment she’ll never forget.
Born in Lahore in 1994, Sajal began her acting career at just 15. Mom was her first Hindi film and it earned her both fame and the chance to work with a legend like Sridevi. Today she is one of the top-paid actresses in Pakistan.
When Sridevi died suddenly in 2018, Sajal expressed her grief by saying, “It felt like I lost my mother for the second time.” Her words moved fans across India, highlighting the deep emotional connection the two shared. Mom was not just a successful movie; it also left behind a legacy of love between two incredible women both on-screen and off-screen.
