Actress Hina khan has now made a revelation that, she was the actual choice for the role played by Tripti Dimri in the movie ‘Laila Majnu’.
Imtiaz Ali film Laila Majnu was a box-office flop when it got released in 2018. Later, in 2024 when it got re-released the the audience celebrated the movie and thus, making the movie get all the attention it deserved.

Hina Khan, who is currently facing stage 3 breast cancer revealed that she lost the role in the movie due to her skin colour.
Actress revealed, the makers wanted someone so fair, as Hina was not looking ‘Kashmiri enough’. The makers said Hina she had a wheatish skin and the replaced her with Tripti.
She stated that it was heartbreaking for her and a bit shocking, as she herself belongs to a Kashmiri family. But, this didn’t made her upset instead, Hina moved on.
We all know, Hina Khan is fighting cancer and the actress is going through chemotherapy, still Hina hasn’t lost her confidence. We can see Hina being active in her works and her profession.

In 2018, the rookie actors,Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri starred in the Hindi-language romance drama Laila Majnu. Produced by Imtiaz Ali, Ekta Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, and Preety Ali, and Sajid Ali is the director.
