In one of the most talked-about outcomes of the event, Nitanshi Goel’s win in this category has sparked a fierce debate with a section of Katrina supporters slamming the organizers, alleging that the voting was rigged. Social media erupted with several questions after the results were announced. Several Katrina fans voiced their discontent on various platforms, arguing that the process lacked transparency and fairness.
They further fueled the controversy, under an official IIFA post of Nitanshi Goel, a number of users countered the rigging claims with a different sentiment. Amid the heated discussions, several fans commented that “Katrina deserved it.”
Another user said, “Even we from Russia and many of our friends voted for Katrina, how could you do this to her?” where as an user mocked Nitashi by stating, “Lmao who even voted for her.”
This clash of opinions has deepened the rift among IIFA fans, while a segment demands greater transparency and accountability from the award organizers, another group stands firmly behind Nitanshi’s achievement, insisting that her success is well-earned.
Now, Nitanshi Goel marks to be the youngest actress to win Best Actress Award in IIFA. “I dedicate this to my mom, to everyone who loved Phool, to those who accepted me-Nitanshi and Phool. A special thanks to Kiran (Rao) ma’am, Aamir (Khan) sir, and the entire team of Laapataa Ladies. And of course, the universe for making this happen,” she said in a heartfelt speech.
