Irrfan Khan: An old video of actor Irrfan has resurfaced online amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor. A Pakistani journalist questioned Irrfan in the video if he would ever travel to Pakistan.
The well-known actor, who was regarded as a man of few words, won hearts on the Internet with a succinct but powerful response to the question.
“Hello Irrfan bhai, you have a great following in Pakistan,” the journalist says to Irrfan in the widely shared video. I hope you will visit Pakistan at some point. It will be quite enjoyable. Irrfan cuts the journalist off and asks, “Main aah toh jaaunga, wapas aaunga ki nahi? (I will visit Pakistan, but will I be able to come back?)” with a straight expression.

At a time when India has prohibited Pakistani musicians from performing there and taken down all content of Pakistani origin from its Internet, Irrfan’s old video has gone viral.
Following the Pahalgam incident and Operation Sindoor, India requested that OTT behemoths take content with Pakistani origins off of their platforms.
Pakistan Films & OTT Ban in India:
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting sent out a recommendation last week requesting that Indian streaming services take down movies, TV series, web series, podcasts, and music that were produced in Pakistan.
In the media statement, they said, “In the interest of national security, we advise all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms, and intermediaries operating in India to immediately discontinue web series, films, songs, podcasts, and other streaming content originating from Pakistan, whether available on a subscription-based model or otherwise.” Music videos have also removed the images of Pakistani musicians like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and Mawra Hocane from their Bollywood movie songs.

Music websites like Spotify and YouTube Music have removed the faces of Mahira Khan from Raees and Fawad Khan from Kapoor & Sons. The Raees album, which once featured Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan, now only includes Shah Rukh. Irrfan previously collaborated with Pakistani actress Saba Qamar in the 2017 movie Hindi Medium. He passed away on April 29, 2020.
