Now Actor turned politician Kangana Ranaut candidly discussed her role on an upcoming episode of Indian Idol 15. In the recent episode of Indian Idol, Kangana graced the event as a part of promotions. One of the contestants asked if she started directing because she used to interfere in direction and scripting and they would not like it. She expressed her concerns about rumours, the Emergency actress said, “Stop all the siyappa…you know what that means, right? If there is no bamboo, the flute will not play.”
She went on to add dismissing the rumours “That’s not true. I have immense respect and admiration for everyone I’ve worked with. They’ve inspired me, and I’ve had the privilege of working with some amazing directors. Movies like Queen, Tanu Weds Manu, Fashion, and Gangster are remembered for their incredible filmography. That motivated me to pursue filmmaking myself.”
Kangana went on to add, “You don’t have to change yourself to be liked by everyone. I started in 2005, and now it’s 2025, but there are still only a handful, maybe about five or six directors, actresses, and heroes who have truly made it. You keep chakki peesing around them. So I thought, let’s cultivate new talent.”
Kangana will next be seen in the real-life political drama Emergency. The film directed by Kangana Ranaut portrays PM Indira Gandhi in the film. Emergency also stars Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhry, Ashok Chhabra, Milind Soman, and Vishak Nair in prominent roles. The film will hit the big screens from 17th January 2025 coinciding with Republic Day.
