Mari Selvaraj Praises Neeraj Ghaywan’s Film Homebound

From a filmmaker’s perspective, Mari Selvaraj said that Neeraj Ghaywan’s newest movie, homebound, is quite moving and strong. In his X post, Selvaraj stated that he had seen the film and provided some very perceptive and sensitive observations about the director’s skill and emotional range as well as on his own narration style. “Sending you a warm embrace from the southern tip of this country” he said.

Opening to theatres on September 26, Homebound holds the audience even when it starts OTT. Viewers find the movie to be emotionally powerful, realistic, and resonant. Many have turned to social media to praise the performances, writing, and sensitive approach to the issues. Among the little who watched it worldwide, the movie has fast gained popular interest and is now available on Netflix.


 

India’s Official Entry to Oscars

Homebound is also running for India’s Oscar this year. Given that this two directors’ for Neeraj Ghaywan after the very successful Masaan back in 2015, this is enormous for the movie.
