Ormax Media has released a list of India’s most popular female actors for September, and once once again South Indian performers have taken center stage. The report highlights the growing appeal of South Indian cinema both home and abroad, eight of the top ten spots are held by its leading ladies.
Confirming her great popularity, South Indian actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu has kept her rank as the most well-known woman on the Ormax list. Famous for her great performances and dedicated fan base throughout the country, the actor keeps outperform even the largest Bollywood celebrities.
Next in line is Alia Bhatt, the only Bollywood actress to rise into the top two. Regarding public support, Alia has once more been defeated by Samantha, despite her excellent performances in current blockbusters.
Coming in third is Kajal Aggarwal, one of the most steady and popular South Indian actresses. Trisha Krishnan, a seasoned actor who has been a constant presence in the industry for around 20 years, takes the fourth position. Among the top five, Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone is rated fifth, therefore the only other Hindi movie actress is.
Coming in at number six is Malayali actress Nayanthara, who is still enthralling fans. Seventh ranked is the well-known “National Crush” of India, Rashmika Mandanna, followed by eighth-ranked Sai Pallavi. Recent successes—including the Tamil smash Amaran and the Telugu song Thandel—have cemented her place among India’s most admired stars.
Rounding out the top ten are both Tamannaah Bhatia and Sreeleela, who have acquired great fan bases with their recent pan-Indian projects.
