Bollywood most adored actor Ranbir Kapoor recently shared a shocking yet humorous fan experience. It is a known fact that the actor is happily married to Alia Bhatt and enjoys his time with their daughter Raha. But he revealed an unusual incident involving a fan who claimed to be his ‘first wife.’

During a chat with Mashable India, Ranbir disclosed that a woman arrived at his family bungalow with a pandit (priest) and conducted a marriage ceremony with the gate of his house. He recounted the story by saying,

“I wouldn’t say craziest as it is used in a negative way but I remember when I started like in early years. There was a girl and I never met her but my watchman told me that she came with a pandit and married my gate. At the bungalow I used to live with my parents and there was some tika on the gate and some flowers so. I was out of town at that time I think so that was quite crazy. I haven’t yet met my first wife yet so I look forward to meeting you at some point.”

The story left fans amused and curious. It’s not uncommon for celebrities to have devoted admirers but this incident stands out due to its eccentricity.

Interestingly before they started dating in 2018 Alia Bhatt had expressed her admiration for Ranbir. During her appearance on Koffee With Karan, she admitted having a crush on him since she was 11 years old after seeing him work as an assistant director in Black.

Ranbir who once famously said that marriage is like having dal chawal (simple rice and lentils) every day now embraces the simplicity of married life. He acknowledged that Alia adds the perfect spices to his life making it a wholesome and delightful experience.

“I said this in a film that ‘Shaadi is Dal Chawal for 50 years till you die..etc.’ But Boss in life Dal Chawal is the best. There’s nothing else better than that. And in my life Alia is all the spices, pickles, everything in the Dal rice. And I couldn’t have asked for a better partner in my life.”
