Sitaare Zameen Par, directed by R.S. Prasanna, is a Hindi adaptation of the Spanish hit Champions (2018). The film is about an in-suspension basketball coach Aamir, whom the court orders to coach a team of mentally challenged players as community service. The film stands out because of its cast. Ten neurodivergent people represent an ever-increasing level of raw realism on-screen.

Backed by Critical Praise
Earlier, author and professor Sudha Murty also showered encomiums on the film calling it an “eye-opener” that reverses conventional notions of normalcy. The depth of emotion, humor, and message of compassion in the movie have led to critical acclaim and healthy box office revenues ever since its release on June 20.
