In a recent interview, the actor from Bade Acche Lagte Hain spoke up about his financial experience to date. He talked about purchasing a lavish Rs 5 crore Lamborghini without giving it much thought and accumulating enough money to last him four generations.

One of the highest-paid actors in Indian television, Ram Kapoor, was a major player in the heyday of TV soap operas. During his acting career, he amassed a sizable fan base, but he also became passionate with high-end automobiles. He has a Mercedes-AMG G63, BMW X5, Porsche, and Ferrari among his remarkable collection.

He recently made headlines once more, this time for his garage, not a show. The Lamborghini Urus Performante is a high-performance SUV that costs about ₹5.21 crore, and Ram Kapoor became the first Indian to acquire one. His audacious acquisition demonstrates both his passion for high-end automobiles and the success he has attained from years of commitment to the entertainment sector.

He mentioned that he dislikes making his expensive car purchases public on the internet and that the media always manages to leak them. “I had explicitly instructed the dealer not to put the press there when I purchased the Lamborghini,” he told Humans of Bombay. But they had a photographer on staff. Now, the media grabbed it as soon as they posted it on their website. How do I put an end to this? I’m fortunate to be able to afford all of this.

Love for Luxury Cars:

Ram Kapoor opened up about his love for luxury cars, admitting he didn’t think twice before buying his Lamborghini because he could finally afford it. “I’ve always been a crazy petrol-head,” he said. “I’ve been into cars and bikes.” He explained that most enthusiasts like him, who have the means, often build such collections.

“The only difference,” he noted, “is that mine gets talked about. Many of my friends have better collections, but since they come from the corporate world and stay out of the public eye, no one hears about theirs.” For Ram, splurging on cars isn’t about showing off—it’s pure passion. “If someone is a petrol-head like me, and they can afford it without thinking, they’ll go for it,” he added. “I don’t like spending money on anything else, just this.”

Ram Kapoor revealed his intense passion for watches and vehicles, saying that these are the only two things he genuinely likes to indulge in. He claimed that those who can buy these timepieces frequently amass amazing collections. Simply put, a lot of them would rather keep quiet about it. He went on to say that despite his desire to maintain a low profile, his public persona makes it challenging.

He said, “Unfortunately, the media finds out because I’m in the public eye.” Ram acknowledged his magnificent garage and said, “Yes, I do have a collection of cars.” I have a Porsche and a Ferrari, but the problem is that we don’t want to flaunt them. Though he is always in the spotlight, his remarks reveal a sincere love for luxury without the desire for it.
