The title announcement video of the much-awaited Bollywood mega venture Ramayana, which the Indian film world is eagerly waiting for, has been censored. With the approval of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), it is expected that the first official look of this big project will soon be released to the audience.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana will be released in two parts. The first part will be released in theaters in 2026 and the second part in 2027. This film, which stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, and Yash as Ravana, is one of the biggest projects in the history of Indian cinema.
It is reported that the CBFC has given a ‘U’ certificate to the title announcement video of Ramayana 3D. The video has a runtime of 3 minutes and is expected to feature the first glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash in their roles.
Ramayan is also notable for its star cast. Along with Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman, while Kajal Aggarwal, Ravi Dubey, Arun Govil and Lara Dutta will be seen in various roles.
Made on a budget of $100 million (approximately Rs. 835 crore), Ramayan is one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema. The film is being produced by Yash and Namit Malhotra, and there are reports that talks are underway to co-produce with Warner Bros.
Although Jaideep Ahlawat was offered the role of Vibhishana, Ravana’s brother, in the film, there were reports that he turned down the role due to schedule clashes. Recently, videos and pictures of Yash collaborating on the shoot of the film were released.
