Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana was one of the largest cinemas that have ever been made. Ramayana will be made in two parts and scheduled to hit the theatres on Diwali 2026 for part one and part two will make its debut on Diwali 2027. While the details about the complete cast have been under tight wraps, the recent update reveals the actor who is going to play lord Lakshman in the upcoming mythological film Ramayana. The actor also revealed the shocking details about his co-star Ranbir Kapoor who plays lord Rama in the film.
In the epic mythological film, Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi plays sita Ma and Yash plays Lord Ravan. Now Ravi Dubey confirms playing Lord Lakshman. When asked about his role in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, the actor said, With due permission of my makers, yes, I am. What I felt was there was a certain sanctity to the project and I feel Namit sir, and Nitesh sir, might have a plan as to how they want to talk about it. I will be corrupted if I just blurt out things frivolously in front of people.
It would be very unhygienic for me to say ‘No comment’ which will be as good as a comment. The actor took permission from their directors before revealing the news, He feels responsible for not spoiling the anticipation for the film. “So I took a due permission from them and I told them that if at all this question comes up then what should I say? When they said yes is when I am saying yes,” Ravi Dubey concluded.
The actor further called the story ‘earnest’ and ‘sincere’. He continued and addressed Ranbir Kapoor “This is my first time working alongside a megastar like Ranbir Kapoor and his kindness, empathy, silence and grace towards everyone… (is great). He has been working so hard but he will not come on set and make it look like that I am like this. Every time he is in front of the camera, you will see he has been at it. He is the only commercial, viable artist of this generation. He is the most graceful person I have come across, and I regard and love him like my own elder brother. They way Ravi Dubey addresses Ranbir Kapoor as his elder brother showcases their bond.
