Now the Animal actor responded to the criticism and revealed why he chose to play the role.
In a recent gathering at the ongoing 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, Ranbir addressed the backlash he faced for his films Animal (2023) and Sanju (2018). The actor said that his movies showcased that anything can be achieved with violence. We couldn’t agree more that the world is much more violent than in film. He also confessed that these kinds of movies should not be made. But he praised the good story of the films.
The Animal actor said, “I completely agree with your opinion. As an actor, it is our responsibility to bring movies which bring a positive change to the society. Having said that, I’m an actor, it’s very important that I also dabble in different genres and different characters and play varied roles. But what you are saying is absolutely correct. We have to be more responsible towards the kind of films we make.”
