Sanam Teri Kasam, re-released after nine years its first release, starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane, has now made a comeback to theaters. Even though it was up against new movies, the love drama managed to attract viewers once more. Producer Deepak Mukut revealed that a sequel is scheduled for release in 2026 in response to the film’s continued success. Although Harshvardhan has formally committed to part two, Mawra’s participation is still up in the air. She has now disclosed, though, that she has been contacted by the producers for the sequel.

Mawra Hocane discussed her thoughts on Sanam Teri Kasam 2 in a recent interview, saying, “The producer contacted me for the second part. The script is in my inbox, but I haven’t read it yet. She said that she wasn’t sure if she would be involved but that she still wished the project well. She has expressed her excitement for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 and her willingness to participate in the follow-up in an interview. She added, though, that she would still be happy if another actress were to play the part.

She attributed the film’s increasing popularity to the producers, particularly Deepak Mukut, who she feels is deserving of special mention. Regardless of her role, she wished him well and hoped the sequel was better than expected. Even though she would really like to go back, she promised that there wouldn’t be any disappointment if things didn’t work out.

The filmmakers, Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, disclosed in an interview with India Forums that Sanam Teri Kasam was initially intended to be a two-part drama, with the plot of the sequel being written during the first movie’s production. The poignant conclusion, in which Saru’s voice reverberates as Inder approaches the tree, was purposefully written to allude to the next scene. They went on to say that the tremendous response to the re-release this Valentine’s Day has strengthened their resolve to release Sanam Teri Kasam 2 by Valentine’s Day 2026, with the storyline finished and the majority of the music finished.

The creators’ announcement that Sanam Teri Kasam 2 will be released has only heightened fan excitement. The sequel, in which Harvard Rane reprises his role, has been formally announced. With the promise of restoring the original’s enchantment, their message alluded to yet another emotional journey.
