Sankranti Special: Update On Shraddha Kapoor Starrer ‘Nagin’. It was announced a few years ago that Shraddha Kapoor will play the lead role in the movie Nagin, which was conceived as a trilogy about a shape-shifting nagin. It appears that the film will now finally begin production. By providing a sneak peak at the script, producer Nikhil Dwivedi has provided a significant update on the unique event of Makar Sankranti 2025.
Nikhil Dwivedi posted a picture of a script on his Instagram Stories today, January 14, 2025. “Nagin: An Epic Tale of Love & Sacrifice” was the title. Additionally, “Created & Developed by SAFFRON Magicworks” was noted in the screenplay. The writing was surrounded by marigold flowers.
With the caption, “Makar Sankranti & Finally..” Nikhil alluded to the movie’s readiness for the set.
In an interview with India Today last year, Nikhil Dwivedi disclosed that Shraddha Kapoor was ecstatic to begin filming Nagin. Additionally, he had stated that the movie would probably start around 2025.
Shraddha Kapoor expressed her thoughts about playing Nagin on X (previously Twitter) in 2020. She wrote, “It’s an absolute delight for me to play a Naagin on screen. I have grown up watching, admiring and idolising Sridevi ma’am’s Nagina and Nigahen and have always wanted to play a similar role rooted in Indian traditional folklore.”
Nikhil Dwivedi had previously stated in an interview with Pinkvilla that Shraddha was always his first pick for the part. Shraddha was the only one he truly considered since, in his opinion, she is one of the few actresses who possesses the rare ability to be both a girl next door and a very sensual woman the next day if she so chooses.
The highly successful horror comedy Stree 2 was Shraddha Kapoor’s most recent appearance.
