Chhaava which is blockbuster hit in the recent times. It has created humongous collections in box office. Audience and critics are appreciating this film’s making and execution. This film is a a historical drama based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, the son of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. let’s now see the favourite scenes decoded by Vicky Kaushal.
Decoding Rajya Abhishek (coronation) Scene:
“This for the entire team was a emotional moment while shooting this sequence which we were not prepared for.” Production Designer Subrata Chakrabarty has done exceptional work on the sets. Vicky said that the production designer actually went to the raigad fort and took every part of the details. The shot which is there in the scene has same colour, same size and every inch of the details were exactly the same to the real life fort. Set designer has made exact identical in terms of shape, colour and size. Even the throne was exactly identical.
The interesting part was the shoot of this scene and the real life Rajya Abhishek happened in 1681, was on exact same date. That is 16th of January. This situation itself made all the people on set made something powerful is there and positive.
Fight Sequence with almost 2000 People:
This fight sequence was shot in Wai, it was extreme summer. Everybody was working for almost 12 hours straight, these action sequences were the long shot sequences. Director gave a brief about the scene very simply ” like you’re in a trance, you don’t know how you are fighting” This scene was clear example for how well the execution can be done and how well we can plan and execute a raw and gritty scene. Vicky said that this was the most challenging, tiring, exhausting but it’s a complete fulfilling for an actor.
Monologue sequence:(Om Namah Parvati Pataye Har Har Mahadev)
This scene comes in the very crucial point of the film. Vicky said that while shooting this scene, everybody felt extremely heartfelt on the set. In this the interesting point is, “This was the only scene where we didn’t do any rehearsal, rest for everything we have done the rehearsals. Actually in the script director has planned and wrote “Jai Bhavani Jai Bhavani..Har Har Mahadev” But Vicky Kaushal told that he didn’t know why and how he changed and told “Om Namah Parvati Pataye Har Har Mahadev”. By this dialogue even director felt like something is going right, we’ll finalize it.
