As the buzz in the industry goes, rumor has it that Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar might be teaming up for an action-heavy blockbuster by the end of it all. If the reports are to be believed, Akshay is likely to play the primary antagonist in Shah Rukh Khan’s next grand project under the banner of Red Chillies Entertainment, which Aditya Dhar, the Uri: The Surgical Strike maker, is set to direct.

Rumors Create Buzz in Industry

This speculation really came alive when sources from inside films hinted that Red Chillies was coming up with an enormous action project where Aditya Dhar is helming the show. Dhar is supposed to be attempting a high-octane entertainer that combines patriotism, style, and drama – a domain both SRK and Akshay have pretty much dominated in their careers – by the reports who recently completed Dhurandhar with Ranveer Singh.

Shah Rukh Khan and Akshay Kumar’s recent social-media back-and-forth, which fans theorized was probably part of a larger marketing build-up, added to the drama.

Fan Reactions and Speculation in the Industry

The rumor mill has been grinding the last week with fans putting together every possible clue. As one commented, “Back in those pre-COVID days, there was speculation on SRK being within Dhoom 4, with Akshay being the police.”

“LOL SRK does not have an upcoming film at all. Except for a production film,” added another doubtful fan.

While there is no formal acknowledgment yet from either camp, the very thought of two superstars from Bollywood sharing space-once a hero and once a villain-is sending the internet into a tizzy.

If it goes through, possibly this will be one of the explosives Bollywood face through out the years at the box office. Fans now await in anticipation of a statement to be made by Red Chillies or Aditya Dhar.
