Singham Returns, the franchise’s second installment, acted as a sequel to its predecessor, Singham. Ajay reprised his role from the 2014 film. Kareena Kapoor played Avni Kamat, replacing Kajal Aggarwal as the female lead. Amole Gupte played Babaji, the villain in the superhit sequel. It grossed Rs 140.25 crore net in India upon its debut and was deemed a superhit.
After ten years, Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, the third installment in the Singham franchise, released in theaters on November 1, 2024. Ajay continues to portray his legendary cop character, Bajirao Singham. Kareena Kapoor, who plays his wife Avni, is kidnapped this time. Arjun Kapoor plays the villain in Danger Lanka. It made Rs 150.5 crore net in India in its first six days. The film is Ajay Devgn’s ninth film to gross over Rs 100 crore.
Another excellent news is that Singham Again has become the highest-grossing Singham film worldwide. It is on track to earn Rs 250 crore worldwide within 7 days of its box office debut.
Ajay Devgn’s character Bajirao Singham has made numerous cameo appearances in Cop-Universe films, including Ranveer Singh’s Simmba (2018) and Sooryavanshi (2021).
