The couple sealed their vows in June 2024. They appeared blissfully at ease, savoring their visit to the beautiful landmark. However, what commenced as a serene travel post turned sour, ringed with a section of the internet accusing Sonakshi of violating religious decorum.
One comment on her post was, “Jutton ke saath masjid mai jana bohot bada gunah,” which was rather insinuating the fact that the actress had entered wearing shoes inside the mosque. Not choosing to leave the matter to fly, she stood her own ground with calm dignity.
She clarified, “Isliye jooton ke saath andar nahi gaye. Dhyan se dekho, masjid ke bahar hi hai hum. Andar jaane se pehle unhone humein joote rakhne ki jagah dikhayi aur utaar diye. Itna toh humein bhi aata hai. Chaliye, ab aage badhiye.”
This response, both polite and firm, instantly went viral, garnering accolades from her fans and admirers for handling the situation pretty gracefully. Quite a lot commended her perseverance in correcting wrong information without aggression.
Sonakshi captioned her photos saying, “Found a little sukoon, right here in Abu Dhabi.” This portrays the calm and composed nature of the actress. She would pose elegantly in traditional regalia against the magnificent white domes of the mosque-an image of simplicity and elegance.
