Sonu Sood wrote on X on Friday morning, “We have to make it clear that the news spreading on social media platforms is very sensational. To put the matter simply, we were called as a witness by the Hon’ble Court in a case related to a third party. We have no connection or affiliation with this. Our lawyers have responded and on February 10, 2025, we will give a statement which will clarify our non-involvement in this matter.”
A Ludhiana court has issued a non-bailable warrant against Sonu Sood. Ludhiana Judicial Magistrate Ramanpreet Kaur, while issuing the warrant, has directed the Andheri West Police Station in-charge of Mumbai to arrest the actor. According to ANI, the order states, ‘Sonu Sood was summoned but he has refused to testify. He should be arrested and produced in court.’
Actually, the whole matter is related to the fraud allegations against Ludhiana’s lawyer Rajesh Khanna. The lawyer allegedly alleges that a person Mohit Shukla had duped him of Rs 10 lakh. According to Rajesh, he was lured into investing in a fake ‘Rizika Coin’. Sonu Sood was to testify in this case. Despite being summoned, the actor did not appear in court. At present, the next hearing date of the case has been fixed for February 10.
