A 35-year-old resident of Punjab, Manish Kumar Sujinder Singh, placed a fake call stating that a contract worth Rs 2 lakh has been placed for his murder. The Mumbai Police control room got this surprising call on April 21, after which action was initiated immediately.


Mumbai Police Arrests a Punjabi

After the appeal, the Mumbai Police started probes to validate the allegations. The investigation revealed that the information given by Singh was completely false. The accused had purportedly concocted this bogus story to ensnare his superiors in a security agency due to salary issues and termination issues. Singh asserted that he was offered a gun and a contract to commit the murder. But the accusations turned out to be unfounded.

The police, together with Punjab local authorities, apprehended Singh and charged him under sections 212, 217 and 353 (2) of the Indian Justice Code for spreading false information and trying to cause public nuisance.

Even though the threat was a dummy, it raised unnecessary alarm and created security issues for Tiger Shroff. The action hero persona and well-disciplined life of the actor are hugely popular.
