Aadhar Card New Rules 2025: All You need to change

Aadhar Card New Rules 2025: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has recently passed new rules on Aadhaar cards intending to simplify the updating of details for more ease, safety, and user-friendliness. Aadhaar is still one of the most important documents for identity verification, banking, and government schemes, making it more important than ever to be updated.

Aadhar Card New Rules 2025:

Mandatory for Maintenance of Accuracy

The UIDAI has urged the citizens to keep updating their Aadhaar particulars. Especially if the card was issued more than 10 years back, to ensure that the demographic and biometric information related to Aadhaar remains current and accurate. Even outdated details could cause delays in claiming government subsidies, financial services, or even travel verifications.

Allowed both Online and Offline Changes

Citizens can now update their details through online and offline modes. While demographic updates like name, address, date of birth, and gender may be updated through the UIDAI portal. Biometric changes such as fingerprints, iris scans, and photographs require a visit to the nearest Aadhaar Seva Kendra. The portal allows documents supporting the changes to be uploaded for a rapid and user-friendly process.

Free Update Window

UIDAI has afforded a limited-period free update window for the Aadhaar holders to give significant relief to the users. Users can do their update of documents online free of cost. This is expected to stimulate millions of persons to review and refresh their Aadhaar details, so as to avoid any complications in the future.

Security Bolstered

The new rules also closely examine security measures. Aadhaar holders are advised to keep their registered mobile numbers updated since Authentication is done through One-Time Passwords (OTPs).
