BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) started this tradition back in 1957, and this tradition continues. The main idea behind this tradition is, “hold a trade to welcome wealth and good fortune at the beginning of the Hindu New Year.”

Now, NSE has also stepped into this tradition all the BSE and NSE brokers and investors can participate in this Muhurat trading. Diwali Muhurat 2025 Date & Timings:

In 2025, Muhurat Trading is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, October 21. The special one-hour trading session will follow a specific timeline set by the stock exchanges. The pre-open session will be held from 1:30 PM to 1:45 PM, followed by the main trading session from 1:45 PM to 2:45 PM. After that, investors will have time for post-close modifications until 2:55 PM. This auspicious trading window, held every Diwali, is considered a symbol of prosperity and good fortune in the financial world.
