One of the most beneficial things for PF subscribers is to link the Universal Account Number or UAN with a bank account. By linking the UAN with a bank account, you can quickly know the PF balance amount and make money withdrawals easier. It will also help you get information about the money coming into the PF account. It will also help you easily carry out the steps to be followed in relation to the PF account when changing the company or retiring.
The Universal Account Number is a 12-digit number assigned to each member of the Provident Fund Organization. UAN is helpful in getting comprehensive information about the PF, regardless of the company you work for.
Step 1: Log in to the EPFO portal (https://epfo.gov.in/employee-retirement-accounts/).
2: Under the Manage tab, select KYC from the drop-down menu.
3: On the next page, you can check which bank account has been added. Enter the bank account number you want to add.
4: Verify the bank account number and IFSC code. Click on the Verify IFSC tab and you will receive an OTP on the mobile number linked to Aadhaar.
5: Enter the OTP. You will get a notification that the bank account number is in the verification process.
