Bison Budget Vs Collections: Dhruv Vikram’s sports action drama, Bison: Kaalamaadan, has become one of this season’s most frothy and viral Tamil releases. Directed by Mari Selvaraj, the film encompasses everything from emotional storytelling and raw action to an underdog sports narrative. Within just 10 days of its release, Bison was already being hailed by critics and showed tremendous collections during this run in Tamil Nadu and select overseas markets.
The film opened with ₹2.7 crores on the first day. With gradual improvement leading to an overall collection for the first weekend of ₹10.6 crores on Sunday. By the end of its first week, Bison collected ₹27.25 crores across all languages. Second-weekend entries maintained steady collections ₹1.75 crores on Friday, ₹3 crores on Saturday, and an estimated ₹3.25 crores on Sunday. As of the tenth day, Bison: Kaalamaadan got a total of ₹35.25 crores at the Indian box office.
As reported, with a bullet budget of ₹25 crores, Bison has already crossed its cost of production and is on its way to profitability with just a 10-day run. The realistic sports sequences, the intensity of Dhruv Vikram’s performance, and the unique storytelling of Mari Selvaraj have all found great resonance with both the critics and the audience.

With great content and good word of mouth, Bison is doing great commercially and critically. It is expected to cross ₹45 crores by the time it enters its third weekend, making it one of Dhruv Vikram’s biggest films so far-well and truly one underdog story on screen and off.
