The film ‘Chhaava’, based on the life of Chhatrapati Shambhaji Maharaj, was released in Hindi three weeks ago. After achieving huge success there, the dubbed version was also released in Telugu. ‘Chhaava’, which was a super hit in Hindi, has also secured decent openings in Telugu. Information is being received from box office sources that the film has collected around Rs. 3 crores in Telugu states. Analysts estimate that the re-release of the film ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ has affected ‘Chhaava’ to some extent.

Chhaava is a movie directed by Laxman Utekar starring Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna as the heroine. The movie, which hit the screens last month, was a blockbuster. Based on the life of Shambhaji Maharaj, this movie was released only in Hindi. Everyone spoke highly of the heroism of Shambhaji Maharaj, the successor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, and Vicky Kaushal’s performance in the movie. As the videos of the emotions shown by the audience in the theaters went viral, interest in the movie ‘Chhaava’ increased among the Telugu audience as well. Geetha Arts came forward to release it in Telugu due to the demand to dub it in Telugu.

How much did it earn?

It is reported that Chhaava has registered decent opening collections since there was positive buzz about the movie from the beginning. It is being reported that Chhaava has collected about Rs. 3 crores at the Telugu box office on the first day. It is not uncommon for a dubbed film to earn this level of revenue. Moreover, it has been three weeks since it was released in Hindi. There is talk that many Telugu audiences have already watched it in Hindi, and some have also watched it pirated. However, the opinion is expressed that registering such a level of revenue is a great thing.

If it had been responded to and dubbed immediately, Chaava Telugu would have come out a week earlier. Some are expressing the opinion that then the openings would have been stronger. In the context of Chaava movie earning Rs. 3 crores on Friday, which is the weekday, box office circles are expressing the opinion that it can definitely earn more than that on the weekend. There is talk that the re-release of Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu, starring Mahesh Babu and Venkatesh, has affected Chaava Telugu collections to some extent. It is reported that Seethamma has registered collections of around Rs. 1.5 crores in Telugu states yesterday (March 7).
