Dies Irea Day 4 Box Office: How Much Pranav Mohanlal Needs To Be Hit?

Dies Irea Day 4 Box Office: Pranav Mohanlal’s Dies Irae has emerged as one of the most talked-about Malayalam films of 2025. Directed by Rahul Sadasivan and produced under Night Shift Studios and YNOT Studios, the film combines psychological horror with intense storytelling—much like Bhoothakaalam and Bramayugam, to which it shares a thematic connection. Released on October 31, 2025, the film has seen strong audience turnout across Kerala and select national markets.

Day-Wise Box Office Report (India Net)

Day 1 (Friday): ₹4.7 crore

Day 2 (Saturday): ₹5.7 crore (+21.28%)

Day 3 (Sunday): ₹6.35 crore (+11.4%)

Day 4 (Monday): ₹3.25 crore (early estimates)

Total India Net: ₹20 crore
Worldwide Gross (till Day 2): ₹25 crore+

The first weekend collections have surpassed expectations, with the film maintaining steady occupancy across premium multiplexes. Dies Irae’s atmospheric tone, gripping narrative, and Pranav Mohanlal’s understated performance have drawn praise from critics and audiences alike.

Budget and Breakeven Target

With an estimated production cost of ₹12 crore, the film has already recovered its budget through theatrical earnings alone. Non-theatrical rights (including digital and satellite) are expected to add further revenue, ensuring profitability for producers Chakravarthy Ramachandra and S. Sashikanth.

To be officially declared a hit, trade analysts estimate Dies Irae must surpass the ₹25–28 crore net mark in India and achieve a ₹35 crore worldwide gross. Considering its current trajectory, the film is well on its way to reaching that milestone within the coming week.

Final Verdict: A Silent Winner in the Making

Dies Irae has not only reaffirmed Pranav Mohanlal’s potential as a leading man in genre-driven cinema but also showcased Rahul Sadasivan’s mastery in psychological horror. If its pace continues, this slow-burn thriller could very well become one of Malayalam cinema’s biggest sleeper hits of the year.
