Diwali 2025 Movies Box Office Collections: This Diwali 2025 movie season has hugely varied releases across genres and languages, giving rise to healthy competition at the ticket window. From the youth-driven Dude to the experimental K-Ramp to the emotional Telusu Kada and the action-heavy Bison Kaalamaadan, the festival week was filled with excitement. But who has really cashed in on this festive release? Let’s shed light on this.
Holding a six-day total of 54.05 crores, Dude, featuring Tovino Thomas and Mamitha Baiju, is way ahead in the Diwali race. It was produced on a budget of around 40 crores. A well-thought-out multilingual release did its part in expanding reach, Tamil and Telugu being the languages of release. A small dip in business during midweek, availing excellent performance in theatre and positive pre-release OTT buzz, dragged the film into the profit track.
Verdict: Hit (Profitable)
Directorial debut by Raj B. Shetty, K-Ramp showcased a brilliant fashion-world concept and great music, but couldn’t quite hold the momentum after the weekend. The film is made on a budget of ₹8-9 crores and has collected ₹9.82 crores in five days, almost recovering its costs. If it has decent footfalls for the next few days and the digital revenue kicks in, it could be so much into profit.
Verdict: Average (Close to Break-Even)
Telusu Kada, despite starring actors like Siddhu Jonnalagadda, Raashii Khanna, and Srinidhi Shetty in lead roles, could not draw enough crowd. An eye-catchingly large ₹45 crore budget down, with only ₹7.85 crore coming in six days, the performance so far is pathetic. For recovery now to be even considered at this time is a big joke, given the probable low returns from overseas and satellite sales.
Verdict: Flop (Heavy Loss-Making)
Surprise hit among the Diwali releases so far, dark action drama Bison Kaalamaadan. With a budget of ₹20-30 crore plus earnings of above ₹35 crore worldwide. It’s making a nice run in regional circuits and overseas. Gritty tone, to say the least, and very good word of mouth have seen profits for the makers early on.
Verdict: Hit (Entered Profits)

As the second week goes into the processing for Diwali 2025. Festival winners appear to be Dude and Bison Kaalamaadan, while K-Ramp and Telusu Kada are grappling hard to recover costs. The firecrackers on the box office have been burst-off only to see a few lighting up the sky.
